June Camping Trip - Lewis and Clark Trail State Park

Miss Laurel and her whistle - we were a bit concerned about her tendency to walk ahead on the trail, further than we could see her, so Aaron bought her this whistle that she could use to let us know where she was or if she was scared or if she saw a critter. She practiced a lot, but never a need. Oh well - we'd prefer to be safe.
Along the same safety lines, we attached a little bell to William at the waist because he wanders away all the time. It was my favorite part of the camping trip, to hear the little tinkling of that bell constantly because he was in constant motion. He didn't seem to mind having it there either.
My kids adore their Papa - he's just so great at so many Papa things. Here we have Will handing him rocks to throw in the water - I was doing the job, but Aaron makes better sound effects and splashes that he just had Will giggling like crazy. It was a good half hour down by the river.
This girl will find a patch of dirt anywhere we go to dig in. Granted, her favorite is Opa's garden, but this little spot at our campsite was fine with her. Kept her busy while we set up camp and fixed dinner.
